New ICAN educational materials available in 17 languages
We are pleased to share this important educational resource produced by the International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons (ICAN):
Nine years ago today, 122 countries voted to adopt the landmark Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons at the United Nations in New York.
To raise public awareness about this indispensable treaty and the growing global threat posed by nuclear weapons, ICAN is launching a suite of educational materials in 17 languages, including the main languages spoken in all nine nuclear-armed states.

Public education is essential if we are to achieve our goal of a nuclear-weapon-free world. Without it, governments will continue to squander billions of dollars every year enhancing and expanding their nuclear forces, placing us all in grave danger.
Our new materials make the case for the urgent abolition of nuclear weapons and offer practical ideas for actions that individuals can take to advance this cause. Please share them widely!
