The Simons Foundation Canada and the International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons (ICAN) co-convened the "Parliamentarians for the TPNW" Conference at the United Nations in New York during the Second Meeting of the States Parties to the Treaty for the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons (TPNW).  

From ICAN: On the first day of the second meeting of states parties to the TPNW, Parliamentarians for the TPNW, a network of legislators in support of the treaty held a conference at the United Nations in New York. The 23 participants from 14 countries emphasised their resolute support for the TPNW and their willingness to make the treaty a political priority in their respective parliaments.
